GREATER LANDOVER, Md. — Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a woman dead late Tuesday night in Greater Landover.
Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Columbia Park Drive around 10:30 p.m. after a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found a woman injured in the roadway.
She was taken to the hospital to be treated, but was pronounced dead. Her identity has not been released at this time, this includes her name, age, and where she is from.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not remain at the location. Police continue to search for that driver, and say they were driving a four-door grey sedan with front end damage that has since been recovered. Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash.
