FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — In the aftermath of a train derailment that left a significant mess but fortunately no injuries, CSX officials are set to address the Fredericksburg community on Wednesday.
The meeting will provide updates on the ongoing investigation and take place at 3 p.m. in the VRE parking lot, near the crash site.
Officials say the train itself was carrying hazardous materials, but there was nothing dangerous in the cars that derailed. Five cars jumped the tracks, damaging some garages at an apartment complex Saturday.
