WASHINGTON — Heads up drivers; a portion of Massachusetts Avenue in Northeast D.C. has closed to traffic.
The temporary closure comes after reports of smoke coming from underground.
DC Fire and EMS crews have contacted Pepco to respond in order to maintain safety zone and working conditions.
The road is closed in both directions between North Capitol Street and First Street.
