WASHINGTON — Drivers in D.C. may face delays on Saturday, May 20 as the National Asian Heritage Festival will take place in the District.
The Metropolitan Police Department has released a list of road closures that will take effect in conjunction with the event. Drivers should consider parking restrictions and traffic closures throughout the festival.
Emergency No Parking signs will be posted on May 20 from 1 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Areas, where parking will be impacted, include:
- Pennsylvania Avenue from 3rd Street to 7th Street, NW
- Constitution Avenue from 3rd Street to 7th Street, NW
- 4th Street from Madison Drive to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
- 6th Street from C Street to Constitution Avenue, NW
Several streets will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 2 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Impacted roadways include:
- 4th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Madison Drive, NW
- Constitution Avenue between 7th Street and 3rd Street, NW
- Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th Street and 3rd Street, NW
