ADELPHI, Md. — Police and firefighters are investigating after a school bus crashed into a home in Prince George's County Thursday morning. No students were on the bus at the time, but the bus driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fire crews responded to the scene of the crash just before 9 a.m. in the 10000 block of Riggs Road in Adelphi, between Powdermill Road and the beltway underpass. Investigators have not learned what led up to the crash.
No one inside the house was hurt, but there was reportedly structural damage to the home. An inspector with the Department of Permitting Inspections and Enforcement is heading to the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
