WASHINGTON — Have you ever looked at a Metro Station's sign and thought it would be the perfect addition to your home decor? Well, we've got some great news for you.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Metro Forward unveiled a new piece of merch for every transit enthusiast in the District: exclusive mini versions of each stations pylon signs.
"Bring the iconic Metro experience to your living space with our exclusive mini pylons!" the post on X reads.
The mini signs aren't actually very mini considering they are about 2.5 feet tall. Each one is digitally printed and constructed with 18-gauge aluminum and show a selected station's name, as well as the color of lines available at that station.
The signs are currently selling on the Metro website for $65. Buyers are warned that the signs take about 2-3 weeks to ship.
The signs are the latest piece of fun merch added to the Metro website, including shower curtains, a Metro map umbrella, and mini versions of Metrobuses or rail cars. If you didn't manage to find one of the coveted panda farecards, worry not as you can buy a t-shirt version, or even a farecard bucket hat. Which is great news as D.C. celebrates the return of the giant pandas.
