Lanes on SB I-295 reopened after car crash on roadway

The crash is on 295 at Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, officials say.

WASHINGTON — All lanes on southbound DC-295 are reopened after they were closed due to a crash Thursday morning, according to MATOC.

The crash was on I-295 at Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, officials said.

Cars were bypassing the scene using the right shoulder. Major delays formed in the area and extending back to Eastern Avenue. As of 11 a.m., all lanes have since reopened and the crash scene is clear.

There was a reported injury following the incident. Details on what happened are unknown at this time.
