ROCKVILLE, Md. — A crash involving three cars, including a box truck, caused major delays on the Outer Loop of Interstate 495 Thursday morning, Montgomery County officials said.
The collision happened around 6 a.m. between Connecticut Avenue and Rockville Pike, officials said.
One person was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Debris clean-up from the crash slowed down traffic on the roadway. Three left lanes and both shoulders were blocked for some time, and all lanes were later reopened.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
Maryland State Police are investigating the incident.
