3 hospitalized after crash on Columbia Pike

MCFRS says three people were being transported to the hospital.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Several lanes were blocked after a crash on Columbia Pike Monday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire Department.

The collision happened on northbound Route 29 Columbia Pike at Industrial Parkway. Traffic was redirected away from Industrial Parkway. Parts of Industrial was shut down near Route 29. The road has since reopened.

Crews at the scene had to extricate at least three people from the crash. MCFRS said three people were transported to the hospital.

The extent of the patient's injuries is unknown at this time.

SKY9 was at the scene and it appeared that there was an overturned truck that ended up on the grass on the median and a vehicle that was on a flat bed. Police blocked off the road for a few hours and as crews worked to clear the accident scene.
