MARYLAND, USA — An overturned truck caused traffic on Interstate 495 Friday afternoon.
According to Maryland State Police (MSP), the collision involved a dump truck and two cars. When troopers arrived at the Inner Loop of I-495 east of MD 97 and found the dump truck of stones overturned, spilling out debris on the roadway.
The overturned dump truck caused officials to block two lanes of I-495 while investigating the crash and working the scene.
The State Highway Administration is aware of the debris and is working to provide more resources to clear the roadway. A heavy-duty tow truck is on the way to clear the dump truck. It is unclear how long it will take to reopen the roadway at this time.
No one was injured in the crash, according to MSP. There is no word on what caused the collision.
