Accident cleared after car slams into guardrail blocking 2 SB I-95 lanes

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Maryland State Police said.

FORESTVILLE, Md. — Two lanes of southbound I-95 lanes were blocked early Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Prince George's County.

The crash happened near Forestville, Md. at Central Avenue. It appears a car crashed into a guardrail and the guardrail went through the vehicle.

The left shoulder and left lane were blocked on northbound I-95, Maryland State Police said.

Firefighters rescued the driver from the car and took them to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of victim was not yet known. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities and crews were at the scene investigating the collision.
