TRIANGLE, Va. — One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Triangle early Monday.
Virginia State Police said they are investigating the deadly collision that happened around 3:30 a.m. on northbound Interstate 95 at the 151-mile marker.
Police said one person died in the crash. No information has been released about them including their name, age, and where they are from.
An investigation is underway into the deadly crash.
According to Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC), at the time of the crash all travel lanes on I-95 northbound nearby Exit 150 at Joplin Road were blocked. Delays started at Russel Road, nearby Exit 148. Just before 6:50 a.m. the lanes were reopened.
