MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A woman is dead and a man was seriously injured after a crash involving a pickup truck and car in Montgomery County, police say.
The fatal collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Georgia Avenue and Triadelphia Lake Road in Brookeville. Fourth District police officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responding to the crash found the man who was driving the pickup truck was injured. He is in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.
The woman driving the other car was airlifted to Shock Trauma where she was pronounced dead, according to Montgomery County Police.
MCPD's Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. The identity of the woman killed has not been released yet and will be available after notification of next of kin.
