Here's what to bring to WUSA9 'Recycle Day' in Virginia and Maryland

Join WUSA9, Washington Gas and Westfield Montgomery on Oct. 26, and bring paper to shred, recyclable electronics, gently used or new clothing, strollers and more.

WASHINGTON — The WUSA9 team, Washington Gas and Westfield Montgomery are co-hosting another Recycling Day and we are inviting viewers out to Springfield, Virginia and Bethesda, Maryland to join us. As part of our mission to inform, inspire and make a positive impact in our communities, we are committed to being champions of the planet.

Our latest Recycling Day will be held on Oct. 26 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

We hope you will join us with any documents you need shredded, electronics you need recycled or (gently used or new) clothes, shoes, car seats, and strollers you want to be rid of. (The donations of clothes, shoes, strollers, and car seats will be collected by Interfaith Works.)

The recycling days are free for participants.

Here's where you'll be able to participate:

When: Saturday, October 26, 2024

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where: at two-(2) locations simultaneously

  • Westfield Montgomery
    7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 (NOTE: Use Westlake Terrace to Enter Parking Lot)
  • Washington Gas Springfield Center
    6801 Industrial Road Springfield, VA 22151

Collecting: (Gently used or new)-Clothing, Shoes, Car Seats, and Stroller. Home Electronics, Computers & Related Equipment, Paper Files & Documents/Magazines for Shredding.
