WASHINGTON — As the Mystics' season gets underway on Tuesday at Entertainment and Sports Arena, the team announced another game will take place at Capital One Arena, the team's former home.
The Mystics had previously announced the June 7 matchup with No. 1 draft pick Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will take place at Capital One, along with the July 16 game against the Phoenix Mercury.
Now, the team says they will take on Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky at Capital One on June 6.
The Entertainment and Sports Arena can seat up to 4,200 fans, but Capital One Arena has a maximum basketball capacity of more than 20,000. The move will allow for additional fans in the stands as well as premium hospitality options, including suites and the all-new all-inclusive courtside Hennessy Lofts, the team said.
The Mystics have seen tremendous growth since their 2019 Championship season and last season posted a record nine sellouts.
Existing season ticket members and plan holders will have their seats relocated to similar locations in Capital One. Those who have already purchased single game tickets will have an opportunity to select their seats for the game. Beginning Friday, May 17, fans wishing to attend can purchase tickets by visiting WashMystics.com.
