Washington Nationals have second victory parade and rally in West Palm Beach during Spring Training

Members of the team will parade through downtown West Palm Beach with the World Series Trophy, culminating in a celebratory rally.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — It's a special Throwback Thursday as our reigning World Series champions will be feted for a second time, as they march through downtown West Palm Beach, hoisting that World Series Trophy high.

Our beloved Nationals received a heroes welcome back in November as they paraded through a sea of red down Constitution Avenue, celebrating the end of an 86-year baseball drought in the District. Three months later, the boys decided it was time to do it again.

"This one feels a little bit tamer, we do have to work tomorrow," Nats pitcher Sean Doolittle said. "Anytime you get  a chance to celebrate a World Series win, it's a great thing and it's going to be a lot of fun."

In West Palm Beach for Spring Training, the Nats -- who share a facility with the Houston Astros -- are gearing up for the 2020 season, with fans intent on seeing back-to-back wins.

WUSA9's Darren Haynes has been reporting live from spring training all week, chatting with former manager Dusty Baker, reliving the Baby Shark magic with Adam Eaton, getting to know the newest Nat, Eric Thames, and bonding over his love of being a #girldad with Mr. National himself, Ryan Zimmerman.
