WASHINGTON -- After winning the first Stanley Cup in team history, the Capitals were in the right place to celebrate such an historic achievement.
The team took to the party scene in Las Vegas after wrapping up their 4-3 victory over the 1st-year franchise Golden Knights.
Alex Ovechkin and teammates enjoyed their spoils at the famous Hakassan nightclub inside the MGM Grand Hotel, continuing the celebration late into the night.
Ovechkin didn't lose sight of the Cup through it all. Video of him celebrating with DJ Tiesto on stage includes him holding Lord Stanley's Cup up high in elation for the victory that took him 13 long years to get to.
More video from TMZ Sports caught the team throughout the night:
According to TMZ Sports, team management footed the bill for the entire team, which ended up being $100,000 worth of champagne, beer and liquor poured into the top of the Stanley Cup.
The morning after looked rough, with Caps players spotted spooning the Stanley Cup on the flight home.
