Getting to Las Vegas for the Caps game is the cheapest part

WASHINGTON - Unfortunately, for Capitals fans, the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final are in Las Vegas. Thousands of people still plan to make the trip to see the team play. The tickets for the actual game might break the bank, but getting there is actually affordable.

One-way flights to Vegas are starting as low as $100 on some travel deal sites. Round-trip, the cheapest we found was $400. That flight leaves Sunday and returns Thursday. Flight prices vary by the airport you fly out of and when you leave.

Hotels in Las Vegas, the news gets even better. You can find a 4-star hotel, on the strip for less than $100 a night. Off the strip, the prices are cheaper, but you have to factor in the cost of transportation to and from the arena.

Getting inside the arena is what will really cost you. The cheapest ticket we found on resale sites was $841. If you're a die-hard fan and want the best seats in the house, behind the glass, get ready to pay somewhere in the thousands. The best seat we found is going for $5,200.
