CANTON, Ohio — We're still not over it. It's been a couple of weeks since the improbable Hail Mary pass from Commanders QB Jayden Daniels to Noah Brown to lift the team to victory with no time left on the clock against the Chicago Bears in Week 8. Now, that incredible moment has been immortalized in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Just in case you wanted to watch the play for a 10,000th time, here it is:
“That’s kind of like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not too many people get to experience stuff like that,” Daniels said after the game.
The 52-yard Hail Mary pass is historic for a lot of reasons. Daniels became the second rookie quarterback since 1970 to record a 50-yard game-winning touchdown pass as time expired, joining Cleveland's Tim Couch in Week 8 of the 1999 season.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced on Thursday that it has received the gloves Brown wore while catching the pass, and an end zone pylon signed by both Brown and Daniels. These artifacts have been placed on display inside the Hall’s “Pro Football Today Gallery.”
Next up, the Commanders take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. You can watch the game at 1 p.m. on WUSA9.
