BALTIMORE — A pair of miniature Mediterranean donkeys at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore made their picks for who will win the 2024 Super Bowl this weekend.
The game is a showdown between the Kansas City Chief and the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. In what is an annual tradition, the donkeys — Harry and Lloyd — made their predictions by eating out of footballs filled with delicious vegetables.
Both donkeys run out of the gate toward a football, each emblazoned with a logo for the Chiefs and 49ers. Once they start eating though, things get a little confusing. It's hard to say whether Harry and Lloyd picked one team over the other. Maybe they just want both teams to have fun? Either way, the real winners here are the donkeys themselves.

If you don't want to bet based on animal selections, the 49ers (14-5) are 2 1/2-point favorites on Sunday, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Zoo says each day their animal teams create enrichment activities for the animals to keep them mentally and physically engaged. Enrichment allows animals to demonstrate their species-typical behavior, gives them opportunity to exercise control or choice over their environment and enhances their well-being. This kind of activity is just as essential to animal welfare as proper nutrition and veterinary care.
