MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — It was home cooking for James Cook Thursday night.

The Miami native scored three touchdowns in the 1st half and finished with 78 rushing yards against the Dolphins, pacing the Bills to a 31-10 win.

Cook got started on Bill's first offensive possession of the game. On 4th and 3 from the MIA 17, Joe Brady dialed up one heck of a play call, putting Cook and Curtis Samuel in motion pre-snap. Josh Allen then found the running back in the flat, who scampered ahead for the score to make it 7-0 Buffalo.

Miami would respond on their ensuing drive, going 70 yards on 10 plays, capping it with a De'Von Achane 5-yard TD from Tua Tagovailoa.

Cook then found the end zone twice in the 2nd quarter, including a 49-yard TD scamper that pushed the Bills lead to 24-7.

The knockout blow came early in the 3rd quarter. Tagovailoa was pressured by A.J. Epenesa on 3rd and 5, with the Dolphins QB just heaving it up towards the boundary. Ja'Marcus Ingram reeled in his 2nd interception of the game and returned it 31 yards for a TD.

Tagovailoa went 17/25 for 141 yards, throwing one TD to three INTs. He left the game with a concussion in the 3rd quarter after taking a big hit after scrambling.

His counterpart, Allen, finished the night with 13 completions on 19 attempts, totaling 139 passing yards.

The Bills now move to 2-0 on the season. They don't play again for a week and a half when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football on September 23rd.
