PHILADELPHIA — The achievements of both Army and Navy are on full display when the two historic academies play at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday.
Both the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy (West Point) will have special uniforms that tell the past of the academies and the branches they serve.
In what is the last regular-season college football game each year, both academies have made it a tradition to have special uniforms for the rivalry game.
The Navy Midshipmen will be wearing uniforms that highlight a decade of success for its academy in football during the 1960s, which included a 30-12 record between 1960-63, an Orange and Sugar Bowl appearance, and two Heisman Trophy winners (Joe Bellino in 1960 and Roger Staubach in 1963).

West Point (Army) will pay tribute to the success of the Soldiers who were a part of the 1st Cavalry Division, which has served in every major theater of war since World War II.
Army (5-6 overall) has won the last three meetings over Navy (9-2 overall) after initially losing to the Midshipmen 14 consecutive seasons from 2002 to 2015.
While Army has had recent success in the rivalry, Navy is coming off a much improved season, and the Midshipmen are ranked 21st in the AP Top 25 poll and 23rd in the College Football Playoff rankings. A win over the Black Knights of Army will secure a Commander and Chief Trophy, which is annually competed for between Army, Navy and the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Right now, Navy is favored over Army in a spread on 10.5 points, according to CBS Sports.
While a win for West Point would make the Black Knights bowl eligible, Navy is already slated to play Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31.
According to the Washington Post through the White House and Associated Press, President Donald J. Trump will attend the game. He was at the game in 2018, which was also played in Philadelphia.
The game will air on WUSA9 at 3 p.m. from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
