Wizards announce first-ever Hoops and Hounds night, other promos for new season

Fans can score T-shirts, bobbleheads and player-designed hats.

WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards new season tips off soon, and the team has just announced its schedule for special promotional and theme nights at Capital One Arena in the District. Here's a full breakdown of what's to come. Mark your calendars!

Giveaways:

First, to start the regular season, all fans attending the home opener on Oct. 24 against the Boston Celtics will receive a "For the District" T-shirt courtesy of Capital One.

For the third consecutive season, the popular Player Hat Series returns. This year will feature hats designed by rookie Alex Sarr (Nov. 26), Jordan Poole (Dec. 30) and Bilal Coulibal (Jan. 7). The hats will be available for the first 10,000 fans through the gats.

The first 10,000 fans will also be treated to a Space Jam: Corey Kispert bobblehead giveaway on Jan. 1, and on Feb. 10 when the San Antonio Spurs come to Capital One Arena, fans will take home a French-themed Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr double bobblehead.

Additional giveaways during the 2024-25 campaign will include: an Emirates NBA Cup rally towel (Nov. 22), City Edition T-shirt (Dec. 5), Wizards branded quilted bucket hat (Dec. 19), reversible baseball jersey (Feb. 24), beach bag (Mar. 31), and Fan Appreciation Night t-shirt (Apr. 9). All giveaways are for the first 10,000 fans. Items and dates are subject to change.

Theme nights

For the first time ever, the Wizards will host Hoops and Hounds Night on Jan. 5, inviting fans and their dog to watch the Wizards take on the Pelicans.

The Wizards will celebrate Harry Potter Night on April 3. The first 5,000 fans will take home a special  Wizards Harry Potter themed scarf.

Additional ticket packages including a unique gift with purchase on select theme nights include:

  • College Series Nights – 11 dates which include a special edition, co-branded college and Wizard reversible bucket hat while supplies last
  • Heritage Series Nights – 20 dates which include a special edition reversible bucket hat celebrating that night’s heritage
  • Military Appreciation Night presented by Leidos– bucket hat (Nov. 17)
  • Basketball Day in the DMV –reversible pinnie (Jan. 12)
  • HBCU & D9 Night presented by Stackwell Capital – reversible bucket hat (Feb. 8)
  • Pride Night presented by Giant – belt bag (Mar. 27)
  • Cherry Blossom Night – cherry blossom button down shirt (Mar. 29)
  • Noche Wizards presented by Michelob ULTRA – reversible bucket hat (Mar. 31)
  • Sneaker Night presented by Hennessy – sneaker bag (Apr. 2)

Specialty ticket packages require the purchase of a special ticket to receive the item listed with that offer. One item per ticket while supplies last.

  • Women’s Night presented by GDIT (Mar. 21)

Lastly, the Wizards say the popular Friday Night Concert Series returns for a ninth season and will feature TI. Additional artists and details will be announced in the coming weeks.
