Wizards get second pick in 2024 NBA Draft

Fans are invited to watch the 2024 NBA Draft unfold live at Capital One Arena during the Washington Wizards 2024 NBA Draft Party on Wednesday, June 26.

WASHINGTON — For the fourth time in franchise history, the Washington Wizards will get the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

This decision was announced during Sunday's Draft Lottery in Chicago. Officials say the Wizards were represented onstage by Guard and Forward Bilal Coulibaly. 

The Wizards were originally slotted to pick second overall prior to the unveiling of the draft order.  

The first round of the 2024 NBA Draft will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the second round on Thursday, June 27 at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York.

Fans are invited to watch the 2024 NBA Draft unfold live at Capital One Arena during the Washington Wizards 2024 NBA Draft Party, presented by Robinhood on Wednesday, June 26. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the draft broadcast starting at 8 p.m.  All fans wishing to attend must claim a free ticket and can learn more at washingtonwizards.com/draftparty.
