'Pitch Your Product' is coming back to Nats Park

Winners from the competition will become permanent vendors at the ballpark starting in the 2025 season.

WASHINGTON — The Washington Nationals is bringing back "Pitch Your Product" this offseason. This event is a culinary competition for local restaurateurs and food beverage suppliers throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Participants will be given the opportunity to grow their business by selling their most unique menu items and products at Nationals Park. Winners from the competition will become permanent vendors at the ballpark starting in the 2025 season.

To participate in “Pitch Your Product,” interested businesses must request an application by contacting concessions@nationals.com. Completed applications are due back by Oct. 9. Selected businesses will then be invited to present their concepts to a panel of judges at Nationals Park on Oct. 23-24. To learn more about the program click here.

This competition was created in 2015, and 26 restaurants and vendors participated in a Shark-Tank-style competition. Two local businesses Maryland-based Pinch Dumplings and Virginia-based Haute Dogs and Fries, were selected to open concession stands during the 2016 season. Haute Dogs and Fries, now serving from three separate stands within the ballpark, remains a fan favorite today.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance the fan experience, including our food and beverage offerings, at Nationals Park. Through the ‘Pitch Your Product’ showcase, we will not only find new and delicious local options for our fans, but we will also help to highlight local entrepreneurs and their businesses.” said Nationals Senior Vice President of Ballpark Operations and Experience Lisa Marie Czop.
