FOOTBALL IS BACK !!!

WUSA9's Dave Owens hosts a football-style special edition of 'Game On' during Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

Former NFL wide receiver and Washington Redskin Donté Stallworth will join Dave Owens to breakdown Thursday night's Redskins win over the Browns and what to expect this upcoming week against the Detroit Lions.

Diane Roberts reports from Richmond as the Redskins gets back to work. It will be interesting to see how Head Coach Jay Gruden handles the injury bug that has bitten the team, most recently in TE Niles Paul who is out for the season after fracturing and dislocating his ankle against the Browns.

Kristen Berset sits down with Ravens cornerback and budding superstar Jimmy Smith. Smith recently signed a four-year, $48 million contract extension with the Ravens and is looked at as an anchor of one of the NFL's best defenses.

There's a quarterback competition over at University of Maryland. Frank Hanrahan introduces us to the man who wants the starting job. The Terps prepare for their second season in the Big Ten and Coach Edsall will be looking to make some noise this year.

No such problem at the Naval Academy where QB Keenan Reynolds sits under center for the Midshipmen. Reynolds will be looking the lead Navy to another bowl victory after besting San Diego State 17-16 last season in the 2014 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. You'll hear from him.

And Howard Head Coach Gary Harrell will join Dave in studio to talk about the Bison. Coach Harrell looks to improve on last season's 5-7 record.

WE'RE READY FOR FOOTBALL! ARE YOU?
