Davis' late FTs seal UMass' 66-62 win over George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Trey Davis hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points to lead Massachusetts over George Mason 66-62 on Sunday.

Jabarie Hinds had 11 points for UMass (9-7, 2-1 Atlantic 10) and Cady Lalanne added 10. The Minutemen won their second straight road game after ending a four-game skid away from home.

UMass trailed 40-39 but went on a 12-0 run for a 51-40 lead with 12:37 left. George Mason battle back and got within 62-61 with 23 second left. Davis hit two free throws with nine seconds left and fouled George Mason's Jalen Jenkins, who made 1 of 2 free throws, before Derrick Gordon iced it for UMass with 2.4 seconds left.

Shevon Thompson led George Mason (6-9, 1-2) with 12 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks. Patrick Holloway and Corey Edwards added 11 apiece.
