ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders are hours away from facing the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime as the only game in town on Prime Video Thursday Night Football.
Of course, the matchup heading into the night everyone has been talking about is Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels going up against Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Washington is looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers while Philadelphia is looking to extend its current winning streak to six games.
Adding to the excitement of the night is the fact that the winner of this contest will have a grip on the top spot in the NFC East Division and advance to 3-0 in group play.
Helping Daniels and the Commanders in their efforts to regain first place in the division is running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) who was a limited participant in practice this week but ultimately entered the day cleared to play for the first time since Week 8 against the Chicago Bears.
“Wednesday was the day to get speed and so that was a good sign to see him and the rest of his teammates really get running,” head coach Dan Quinn said of Robinson the day before the big game. “It was a kinda ramp up, as you go, think of a slower on Monday, a little fast yesterday, but today's the day you hit the marks to go up and so he did a good job with that."
Right tackle Andrew Wylie (shoulder) was active against the Steelers but unable to start and didn’t play a snap in the loss. He too was able to practice and enters the day without any listed game day restrictions.
Pending any potential setbacks in the pregame warmup period it looks like Washington will be healthier than it has been in the past two weeks, but it didn’t get everyone back for the primetime matchup.
Linebacker Nick Bellore (knee), cornerback Marshon Lattimore (hamstring), and kicker Austin Seibert (hip) will all miss the Eagles contest.
Philadelphia also had some players struggling with health issues but linebacker Nakobe Dean (groin), tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle), cornerback Darius Slay (ankle), and receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) are all cleared for Week 11.
The Eagles and Commanders are scheduled to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET inside Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
