WASHINGTON (WUSA) — What a time to be a Philadelphia fan right now!
First the Philadelphia Eagles win their first Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
Then the Villanova Wildcats win the NCAA National Championship game against the Michigan Wolverines.
Are the Philadelphia 76ers next?
Former NBA player Charles Barkley certainly believes so.
He has hopped on that Philly train faster that a bunny hopping away from kids on Easter.
"The 76ers gonna win the championship!" Barkley said during the NCAA Championship postgame show.
Do you think he's insane?
Or do you think he's on to something?
Let's take a look at the 76ers this year.
Right now, they're ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.
They've won the last 10 out of their 11 games which is the longest streak in the NBA.
This is also the team's first double-digit winning streak since the 2000-2001 season.
They are without injured star Joel Embiid, and the team hasn't given a timetable on when he'll be back.
But ESPN did report that he could return within two weeks.
If that happens, Philly could be celebrating yet another win this year.
After the Villanova win Monday night, the city of brotherly love showed just that.
