WASHINGTON (WUSA) — It's been an inconsistent season for the Washington Wizards to say the least.
Plagued with an injury that kept their star player (John Wall) on the bench for 29 games after the January 25th game, it's hard to believe that the Wizards are prepared for postseason play.
With two more games to play this week, the Wizards are currently 7th in the Eastern Conference, and a record of 42-38.
Only one word comes to mind to describe this team, and that is S-O-R-R-Y. That's right. Sorry!
Washington has lost their last 4 games, and will have to play the No.2 team in the Eastern Conference (Boston Celtics) on Tuesday, April 10th.
That number could easily go up to 5 games.
If the season were to end today, the Wizards would be a No.7 seed and would be facing the Raptors in the first round of the Playoffs.
We all can imagine how that series would end.
Look Wizards' nation, I'm not saying that the Wizards need to give up and just focus on next season.
Honestly, I'm saying it seems like they already have given up.
It doesn't matter if they win these last two games or not.
They will still end up playing a Boston, Toronto, or Philadelphia team who will easily defeat them in the series.
So are the Wizards ready for the Playoffs?
I'm going to go with absolutely not.
