Alex Ovechkin shaves his playoff beard

Ovechkin stepped away finally stepped away from the Stanley Cup trophy for a few quick moments while he was filmed shaving his beard using a Gillett Fusion Pro Shield Razor.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9)--Wednesday morning the Stanley Cup Champion Alex Ovechkin said goodbye to his infamous playoff beard.

Ovechkin stepped away finally stepped away from the Stanley Cup trophy for a few quick moments while he was filmed shaving his beard using a Gillett Fusion Pro Shield Razor.

“Obviously, this has been an unbelievable time for me and thanks to my old friends at Gillette I can now take a great shave before the summer and we come back next year to try to do it again!!” said Ovechkin.

Ovi will also be auctioning off a couple of the razors he used and donating the proceeds to the American Special Hockey Association.
