WASHINGTON — At WUSA9, we believe the environment matters, and we have taken steps to identify our environmental goals as a company, including lowering our carbon footprint. We also believe it is our responsibility to pass this knowledge to future generations.
That is why we created the "Eco Challenge." WUSA9 identified four middle school classes that applied to participate in a challenge showcasing how they are working to create a greener future.
Each middle school winner will receive $5,000 from contest sponsor Washington Gas to aid in completing their project, along with free professional development and educational materials from the Smithsonian Science Education Center.
