(WUSA9) -- Two rock climbers are trying to make history with a free climb at Yosemite National Park.
Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell are close to climbing the 3,000-foot-high Dawn Wall of El Capitan. They are only using ropes to keep them from plummeting from the granite monolith -- not to help them climb.
