FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Virginia's first multi-level go-kart track is making its way to Virginia.
The "Thunder 104.5 Speedway" opens to the general public Saturday at the Fredericksburg Central Park Fun Land -- an amusement park with mini-rides, arcade games, a rock climbing wall and more, Fun-Land's website said.
Annual pass-holders can preview the $1.2 million track Thursday from 5-9 p.m. The grand opening is Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.
The track is 1,700 feet, and replaces Fun Land's one-level 1,130-foot track.
Drivers will spiral upward for three stories. Then, they'll return to the ground level and enter the pit area or continue into a double helix that'll take them up two stories -- all before a 360-degree turn, The Free Lance-Star said.
Buckle up: The "Thunder 104.5 Speedway" track won't have an age requirement to ride, and the cars have a maximum speed of 18 mph.
