A viral Instagram post claims the speed cameras in Prince George's County won't ticket you if you're going 11 mph or less than the speed limit, that the cameras turn off after 10 p.m., and are not on over the weekend.
But is any of that true? Our Verify team set out to find out.
Researchers first contacted Prince George's County Police who confirmed cameras nab you at 12 mph or above the posted limit, so that part of the post is true.
We then contacted officials from the Prince George's County Automated Speed Enforcement Program.
They told Verify researchers there are different types of automated speed enforcement zones, like school zones where cameras are active weekly 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. However, there are also designated work zones and special safety areas where the cameras are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

So as for the part of this post about speed cameras in Prince George's County shutting off after 10 p.m. and not bring on over the weekend, we verified that's false.
