WASHINGTON -- Have you ever wondered what are the secrets of the National Portrait Gallery? What are you not seeing when you look at the portraits?
We got an inside look from the museum’s curator, Brandon Fortune. Fortune told us the secrets are to get a close look at the George Washington Lansdowne Portrait. Just about everything in the portrait has a symbol behind it.
Fortune also said to check out the newest piece a portrait of Julie Packard who is an ocean conservationist and philanthropist.
But, the most exciting attraction for the last year has been the portrait of former President Barack Obama. Attendance has doubled since it was first put into the gallery.
