2 girls found in Northwest DC identified

The two girls are believed to be siblings, according to police.

WASHINGTON — Two children found alone in their pajamas Thursday evening have been identified, police said Thursday night.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 were found in the 6500 block of Luzon Avenue, Northwest around 6:30 p.m. 

Police released a photograph of the two young girls, whose ages are unknown at this time, in the backseat of a car. Both of the girls are wearing pajamas. 

Shortly before 10 p.m. MPD said the girls had been identified.
