COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland State Police are investing a shooting on Interstate 495 in Prince George's County.
Police say they responded to University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center around 6:45 p.m. on Monday for a shooting victim who walked in.
Investigators said around 6 p.m. at least three people where driving in an SUV on the Beltway going south when they noticed a gold car following them. The car got behind the SUV and began shooting at them.
Authorities said one of the passengers, a 16-year-old, was shot in the leg. He was later taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. No one else was injured..
Police said they do not believe the shooting was random.
