SMITHSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police released photos on Thursday of a man they say robbed an ice cream store at gunpoint.
According to police, a man robbed the High's Dairy Store at 22550 Jefferson Blvd in Smithsburg, Md. Police responded to the scene shortly after 12:40 a.m. Thursday. They determined that the man, who had a white bandana wrapped around his head and a red bandana wrapped around his face, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. He was holding a black handgun.
The man left the store with cash.
He is further described as a Black male, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall, weighing between 120 and 135 pounds. The man was wearing a red and black striped shirt, blue jean pants and dark colored shoes, according to police.
