Paramedic arrested for inappropriate contact with a minor

A Loudoun County volunteer paramedic is accused of having inappropriate contact with an underage female, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Loudoun County volunteer paramedic is accused of having inappropriate contact with an underage female, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Timothy M. Ward, 31, of Sterling, was arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship and use of a communication device to solicit a child.

Ward is a Lieutenant at the Hamilton Volunteer Rescue Squad and a volunteer paramedic with the Sterling Rescue Squad, according to officials.

Investigators are not releasing other details in the case in order to protect the identity of the victim, according to an Loudoun County Sheriff's Office release.

Ward is being held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
