Former Houston Texans star Arian Foster isn’t fully healthy yet, but his free agent tour is about to get underway.
The Miami Dolphins will host Foster for a visit Tuesday, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports.
Coming off a torn Achilles' tendon that ended his 2015 season last October, Foster likely will be able to pass a physical by early summer, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Dolphins hadn’t announced the visit.
Foster, 29, had his fourth season with at least 1,200 yards rushing in 2014. Injuries wrecked his 2015 season, starting with a groin injury early in training camp.
The Dolphins have been seeking running back help since losing Lamar Miller to the Texans in free agency. They signed C.J. Anderson to a four-year, $18 million offer sheet, but the Denver Broncos kept Anderson by matching the offer.
