Kiss fans have had a rough week or so.
Ace Frehley, known for his time with the band, is on his way home after being admitted to and then released from a Pennsylvania hospital this weekend.
Frehley, 64, canceled a Saturday show in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., when he was admitted to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Pennsylvania after his show Friday night there, according to a message posted Saturday on his official Facebook page.
The message said, "After extensive testing, it was determined that Ace’s symptoms were due to exhaustion and dehydration."
It added, "In consultation with his doctors, Ace, who aside from the exhaustion and dehydration has been given a clean bill of health, has reluctantly agreed to cancel tonight’s sold out show at the Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. The venue is working to reschedule the date in late September and expects to announce an exact date later this week."
However by Sunday afternoon, there was welcome news: Frehley was released from the hospital and was on his way home to Southern California. In a new Facebook message, he thanked his doctors and nurses at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
In that post, he even took time to give a shout-out to Kiss star Paul Stanley, who had to cancel joining the band Friday because he was recovering from surgery to repair a torn bicep tendon.
Stanley, 64, posted late Friday that he "will be great and ready to rock."
