FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- On Thursday, Ronald Richard Cloud pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 1980 death of Brad Baker in Fauquier County, Va.
Cloud, who is already serving a life sentence in West Virginia for abduction and rape, was sentenced to life in prison. Cloud will be sent back to a West Virginia correctional facility to serve out his life terms.
Baker was shot and killed with his own shotgun at his home on New Year's Eve in 1980. Baker was a manager at the Kinloch Farm at the time. He was 30 years old.
Cloud was the stepson of a worker who was fired from the estate that day. According to a criminal complaint, Cloud and Baker were involved in a verbal altercation before things turned violent. Baker died in a hospital the next day.
