Man fatally shot in Largo, police investigate

A man was fatally shot in Largo on Friday night, according to officials.

LARGO, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man was fatally shot in Largo on Friday night, according to officials.

The victim, Joseph Titus Abariko, 18, of Riverdale Road, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police.

Investigators said officers responded to a reported shooting on the 11500 block of Bennington Drive in Largo, Md.

Abariko was at a home on Bennington Drive to attend a party. Preliminarily, it appears the shooting may be connected to a fight that broke out outside the home, according to officials.

Detectives added they're still working on finding a suspect and motive.

No other details are avaliable, the incident remains under investigation.
