BURKE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A woman is dead and three people are injured after a vehicle accident involving three cars in Burke, Va. Sunday evening, police said.
Police have identified as the victim as 19-year-old Dilbar Noory, of Woodbridge, Va.
The accident happened around 5:53 p.m. along Lee Chapel Road and Fairfax County Parkway, Fairfax County Police said. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities added. The other three were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation shows that Noory was driving a 2004 Honda Accord going south on Lee Chapel Road when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Noory's car hit a 2012 Infinity EX35 and then a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee before coming to a stop.
Speed appears to be a factor in the accident, authorities said.
