WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A woman who drove through a red light while swerving her vehicle in Woodbridge, Virginia, was allegedly intoxicated with a child in the car, authorities said.
On Nov. 30, Prince William County officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Minnieville Road and Smoketown Road in Woodbridge, Virginia, around 11:08 p.m.
Officers patrolling in the area witnessed a driver disregarding a solid red light and failing to maintain her lane of travel.
According to police, the officers determined the driver - identified as Lesvia Evelyn Tabora Pineda, 32, of Woodbridge - was under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody without incident.
While investigating the incident, police said officers found a 5-year-old girl in the back seat of the vehicle. The little girl was reported unharmed and handed over to a family member.
Tabora Pineda was arrested and charged with felony child neglect, driving under the influence of alcohol, and unreasonable refusal. Her next court date is pending and she is being held without bond.
