FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Three men, one of which was armed, walked into a jewelry store in Falls Church Friday afternoon and stole around $100,000 worth of merchandise. Now, police officers are searching for the masked trio.
According to the City of Falls Church Police Department, three people entered Princess Diamonds, located on Wilson Boulevard, around 12:50 p.m. and committed the jewelry theft. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at an employee of the shop while another suspect used a hammer to shatter display cases to be able to get the jewelry.
The three suspects left the scene in a black Mercedes-Benz sedan. Police did not say what direction they were headed in.

Police have described the trio as three men who are about six feet tall. During the incident, they wore ski masks that covered most of their faces. Two wore black winter coats, and one wore a gray winter coat with red and blue stripes across the chest.
