FAIRFAX, Va. — A 17-year-old student is facing charges after he reportedly sexually assaulted another student while on campus of a Fairfax County high school.
According to Fairfax County Police, a student at Annandale High School told a school resource officer (SRO) that she had been sexually assaulted.
Detectives say the victim was assaulted near a stairwell but was able to run away.
Officers interviewed the 17-year-old student, who reportedly admitted to the assault. The teen is now being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center and faces charges for sexual assault-related felonies.
