During the holidays, many people spend time volunteering to help those in need. But what happens when the holidays pass?
Northern Virginia man Jay Herroitt started an organization to make sure the homeless are helped year-round. It’s called the 25th Project. On the 25th of every month, the organization gives back to the homeless and those in need.
Herroitt said he knows the struggles because he was once on the brink of losing his home.
"It rings home for me, especially around the holidays, but it's all year-round that we need help," Herroitt said.
The 25th Project accepts donations all year. You can learn more about how to help by visiting their website, The 25th Project.
