A Maryland man is facing charges after damaging more than 70 cars across Arlington, according to the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD).

ACPD reports 23 cars were damaged and had smashed windows between Oct 20 and Oct 21. Another 54 cars had similar damage between Oct 25 and Oct 27.

Luis Tavares Sanchez Manuel, 37, was arrested in connection to the property damage and charged with twelve counts of Destruction of Property. He is being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility.

Police believe more charges will likely be filed against Manuel.

Detectives began investigating after a series of cars were damaged. Investigators claim Manuel used a BB gun to shoot at the empty parked cars. The string of property damages lasted for days across various neighborhoods in the county.

On Oct. 27, an officer noticed a car that matched a potential suspected vehicle on Walter Reed Drive. Manuel, who was driving the car, was arrested after parking at a nearby business. When officers searched the car, they claim they found a BB gun.
